In a melting pot of pulsating East African Rhythms fused with funky-soul, Sali Oyugi weaves her powerfully versatile vocals. Sali has been performing professionally since 1993 in her native Kenya, East Africa.
Now living in Boston, Sali has been actively involved in addressing community issues, using her music to encourage budding musicians to explore their African roots. "Too many young African musicians are trying to imitate what Americans are doing. They need to learn that there is beauty in their African-ness."
